Day 1
Bucharest - Sinaia (Peles Castle) - Bran (Dracula's Castle) - Moieciu village

Meet your guide in the morning, around 08-09:00 am, pick up from the airport (if your arrival flight is in the same day) or from the hotel where you are accommodated.

We will start our tour via Prahova Valley, heading to Sinaia, the beautiful mountain resort surnamed "The Pearl of the Carpathians" where we will visit Peles Castle, one of Romania's most beautiful palaces, once the Summer residence of the Romanian kings, a fantastic combinations of neo-gothic and German Reinassance architecture.

On our way to Bran, we have the possibility to visit the Rhein Azuga Wine Cellar, the former "Supplier of Romania's Royal Court". The cellar is considered the oldest Romanian wine cellar which uses the traditional Champenoise method of producing sparkling wines, so we will be able to learn how Romania's most famous sparkling wine is produced, bottled, corked and labled. Here, we can enjoy an optional sparkling wine tasting, cellars visit and also a delicious lunch break. Of course, if you wish, you can also buy genuine Romanian wines and sparkling wines.

Next, we will continue our way to the most famous castle in Romania - Bran Castle (known as Dracula's Castle), where you will learn more about Vlad the Impaler, all the legends and history.

In the evening, we will arrive in Moieciu Village, where we will overnight. Get ready to discover Transylvania through some of the most beautiful villages, enjoy the landscapes, the hospitality of the locals and the delicious Romanian dishes!

Accommodation and home-made dinner included in a 4* sustainable resort, where you have various options to reconnect with nature (such as a horse farm, a goat farm and a strawberry garden); the vegetable garden is the main source of fresh products for the meals served here, so you will be able to enjoy freshly prepared dishes, mostly with ingredients that come from the on-site farms and gardens.

Day 2
Moieciu village - Brasov - Prejmer Fortified Church - Viscri Saxon village

In the morning, enjoy breakfast at the guesthouse in a very picturesque landscape, with beautiful hills and mountains. Not to mention lots of photography options.

We leave Moieciu village behind and move further to Brasov medieval city. The city provides a mix of wonderful mountain scenery and medieval history with German influences. We will take a walk in the Old Town (the Historical Centre), and discover its attractions: the Black Church, the Town Hall, the Black Tower, Ecaterina's Gate and the Rope Street - the narrowest street in Europe.

Depart Brasov to discover the most beautiful saxon heritages of Transylvania. Our first stop will be Prejmer Fortified Church - a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the largest fortified church in Southeastern Europe, built by the Teutonic knights in the 13th century.

Our final stop for today will be the village of Viscri, one of the most beautiful Saxon villages in Transylvania, designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. We will visit the Viscri Fortified Church, one of the most impressive in the area, built in the 12th century. From the fortification's towers you can admire the village scenery, with its hills and authentic hand-tiled roofs of the houses and barns. You will have the opportunity to discover the typical rural life from Transylvania, as well as the wonderful craft and culinary traditions of this timeless village.

Today, you will experience an unique accommodation opportunity - a traditional 4* local Saxon house where you will enjoy an oasis of tranquility and greenery together with a traditional mouth-watering dinner included, prepared with fresh local ingredients.

PS: Do not miss the cows coming back from the pastures in the evening.

Day 3
Viscri - Sighisoara - Biertan Fortified Church - Sibiu - Porumbacu de Sus village

In the morning, enjoy a delicious organic breakfast, then add a walk through the surrounding rural area to observe the village life, admire the pastel facades of the houses or watch the domestic animals wandering the streets. While the beauty and serenity of the village are reason enough to spend some time here, there is also a large range of activities that can easily fill your first part of the day in Viscri: horse-drawn cart trips to the shepherd's to watch the sheep milking or shearing, and taste the local cheeses (available between May - September), visit to the local blacksmith at work or to one of the pasionate beekepers of the village, go truffle hunting in the surrounding woods (available between September - December), join a local family to the pastures for traditional hay stacking (available in July) and so on.

We continue then our way to Sighisoara, Europe's best preserved medieval towns! The whole medieval citadel is part of UNESCO World Heritage. You will be able to discover German architectural influences visible throughout the entire city. One of its most famous attractions is the Clock Tower (Council Tower), built in the 14th century. Highlights of the city tour include: the Venetian House, Vlad the Impaler (Dracula) House, Antler House, Wood Covered Staircase, Clock Tower, the History Museum and the Torture Room.

Next stop will be the Biertan Fortified Church, one of the most majestic and valuable fortified churches in Transylvania, also part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Heading to our last night accommodation, we will reach also the medieval city of Sibiu, one of the loveliest and best-preserved medieval cities in Europe - "European Capital of Culture" in 2007 and "European Region of Gastronomy" in 2019. Highlights of the city tour: The Big Square, The Little Square, Huet Square, the Iron Bridge, The Evangelical Church and The Orthodox Church.

Day 4
Porumbacu de Sus - Transfagarasan Road - Bucharest

After the traditional organic breakfast and delicious coffee in the morning, we leave the villages behind and head back to Bucharest.

Today, as we enter the Carpathian Mountains, we will discover the most scenic high-altitude road in Romania - Transfagarasan Road, named by Top Gear "the best driving road in the world" at 2,042 m high! The winding road is one of Romania's must-see attractions, offering amazing panoramic views, so prepare your camera for some breath-taking shots!

**Between 1st of July and 30th of October, the Transfagarasan Road is usually open and we can also visit Curtea de Arges Monastery on the route; when the weather conditions do not permit it and the road is closed, we will change our route to Olt River Valley and visit Cozia Monastery instead.

In the evening, we arrive in Bucharest; drop-off at your hotel or airport (if your flight departure is in the same day). End of our rural break in Romania.
