Jidvei Vineyards and Cellars is located in the heart of Transylvania, is easily accesible from Cluj-Napoca, Sibiu or Brasov, and will show you how good wines are cultivated in this lush region. Some of the most appreciated romanian wines and sparkling wines are produced here. Their quality is confirmed, year after year, by the medals obtained at prestigious international competitions. Jidvei wines have been awarded over 500 medals in the last 10 years. There are 4 separate cellars situated in Jidvei area who each produce great amounts of wine: Jidvei, Tauni, Balcaciu, Blaj. You can visit each one of them!

Bethlen-Haller Castle was built in Renaissance style by the father of Transylvania's chancellor, Miklos Bethlen, between 1560 - 1624. Having four towers located in the four corners, the castle was built according to the model of those in the Loire Valley. It was intended as a hunting and leisure castle, not as a defensive residence, therefore the attestation in the documents of the time is quite poor. Over time, the castle went through numerous transformations: the construction of the current building was completed in 1624, and between 1769-1773, the castle was remodeled in Baroque style.
