After breakfast in the morning, the guide will pick-you up from your hotel and you will start to discover Timisoara. The tour includes the most interesting sights and architectural buildings of the city, pointing out the main historical events and architectural styles dominating the city's three main squares: Victory, Liberty and Union Square. 

Some of the city's most interesting sites are the elegant baroque buildings, spread around town and particularly along the main square, Victory Square (Piata Victoriei), which stretches from Opera Square (Piata Operei) to Loga Boulevard; in addition of this we will point out Liberty Square (Piata Libertatii) and Union Square (Piata Unirii). Impressive building are subject to be seen: the Romanian Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral, the Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, The Roman Catholic Cathedral, the Baroque Palace, the Scont Bank, the Huniade Castle or the Great Synagogue. Traces of the former mosques from the period when the place was under the authority of the Ottoman Empire are visible during the walking tour.

During the afternoon we will visit "Muzeul Revolutiei" (1989 Revolution Memorial Museum). One can never forget the fact that the revolution has started here, in Timisoara. The Memorial Museum exhibits uniforms of Romanian Police (Militia) and Army, written testimonies of witnesses and participants in the Revolution, and personal documents, an audio-visual archive, a library and a collection of newspapers. A video charting the rise and fall of Nicolae and Elena Ceausescu may be shown on request.

Trip to RECAS WINERIES (20km/2 hrs) - a dream trip for any wine-passionate!

Recas Wineries Company is one of the largest wineries in Romania, founded in 1998 and being among the most complete wineries in the country today. The passionate owners and the winemakers from three different continents, the dedicated people, the sunny hills, the fruitful vine and its own restaurant, they all place Recas Wineries at the top of those wineries that are worth visiting internationally.

During this day, we will taste some good white, red and rosé wines, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Burgund Mare, Merlot, Cadarca, Feteasca Regala or Creata at Recas Wine Cellars (Cramele Recas). A visit at the cellars will give you the opportunity to attend a presentation of the wine making process in the Barrique Hall, and the conservation of bottled wines in the Recas vinoteque - featuring stocks of exceptional vintages. Option for lunch included.

During this day trip, you will have the oportunity to explore more the surroundings and discover 3 beautiful attractions: Sarmizegetusa Ulpia Traiana  - the capital and the largest city of Roman Dacia, later named Ulpia Traiana Sarmizegetusa after the former Dacian capital, located in the vicinity. Ulpia Traiana was the political, administrative and religious centre of Roman Dacia in the 2nd and 3rd centuries. Today, the place remains in ruins, with a partly preserved forum, an amphitheatre, and remnants of several temples; Densuș, the place where we can find one of the oldest Romanian churches. This stone monument was built in the 13th century, and some historians assume it is a re-shaped Roman mausoleum; Corvin/Hunyadi Castle (Castelul Corvinilor) - The greatest Gothic-style castle in Romania, Corvin was built by the Anjou family on the site of a former Roman camp. The castle served as a fortress until the mid-14th century when it became the residence of Transylvania's ruler, Iancu de Hunedoara. Iancu upgraded the fortress transforming it into the most stunning castle in Transylvania. The beautifully preserved structure features a sumptuous Knights' Hall, an impressive drawbridge, high buttresses, inner courtyards, a chapel and some 50 rooms resplendent with medieval art.
